Oh, nice! I don't feel so bad about not entering art now; I wouldn't have been competative with the real artists.
Without saying anything about my vote, let me say that I like Lucy of Kaspall's detail and skill, and the dynamic feel that Zack of Insert Comic Here captured. Jakob of Awesome has a fine vortex, and Michael of Dino vs. Robot makes me wonder what she's doing with her hand (and why she's got green eyes, but never mind). Also, the link to Benj's art right here on the Shifter Archive is broken; apparently the file 'contains errors'.
Since I'm here, I want to mention that only an hour ago I was on the bus and saw a young Asian woman with short hair, big square glasses, and a yellow scarf. Pretty much like this. Alas, I had no celphone camera...

That one is fine, but The Easy Breather one was wrong, so I fixed that

I'm afraid I still get "[pre]The image ?http://theshifterarchive.com/PROJECTS/JE_Chronicles_Benj.jpg? cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.[/pre]" when I try to look at it.

The link works and the image exists for me. Try CTRL+F5 ?

No luck. It reloads, but I get the same error. There are 92 votes and counting as I write this, now, so people are showing up, looking at art, and voting. Fes and I may be the only people posting to the forum, but there are plenty of people reading!

2nd and 3rd place are the most neck&neck right now. First place seems likely for one person. still a few days yet. Anyone's game if we got 100 votes already!

I'm surprised 3rd place didn't do better. Hmmm...

I was contemplating having people pick their top two or three... but I when with the single vote. It's harder to judge which ones people ALL liked, but they only had one Vote. I feel bad for the one that didn't get any vote. The person who made it must not have voted or voted for someone else. That one and the first place (ironically) are the only two that showed shifting between two worlds, which was cool. I think that Benj's (1st place) does a good job at capturing the essence of Jenny as well. I was hoping some people would be doing something like he did.
Still, all of the entries are awesome and I am happy with the turnout! Came close to the goal. I was hoping for 10 entries ![]()

Me, too, tbowl; it got my vote. I thought #3, Zack's work, was more dynamic and better at capturing Jenny's personality than #2, Jakob's art. But at 26 votes to 16, we're out-voted. Maybe Jakob had a get-out-the-vote drive.
I do agree that Benj's work is attractive and interesting, though; it's certainly deserving of its win.

I did indeed vote, but not for myself. I chose the one I thought should win, rather than myself.

If I'd been able to vote for three, it probably would have been the exact three that topped the results.
And I have to say it's a shame that Fesworks wasn't able to make one of his own.

Well, it's tough to pick just ONE of nine. I was thinking of having people pick their top 2 or top 3, but I wasn;t sure if that would have been fair or would have worked right. Though Aaron from the Beacon liked it, but of course picked someone else's.
Actually, for this and the last contest on The Shifter Archive, I made myself disqualified. Not because I had too, but because I was running it. It seems more fair if I don't enter.
Also, I have 5 PSI cards coming to the next Trading Card Game decks, so I'm already getting something printed ![]()
