Well, it's OK for what I have here, but I'd be open to an over-haul and/or moving the forums to a community where it may be more active and possible to snag new forum posters.

Forum Reset

The forum had to be reset. I should be checking this place regularly to maintain it and keep SPAM off... maybe we can get some participation in here again.

Re: Forum Reset

I should mention that I set off this event.  The forum was inhabited only by a spambot, then I went and posted a query about a Jenny Everywhere story I'd written...and getting no responces, I emailed a query.  Hence the deletion of lots of robo-spam and, quite possibly, a few old comments about Jenny Everywhere.

So...IS there anyone else here?

Re: Forum Reset

Well, I joined a little while ago to point out the weird coincidence of me making a Jenny Everywhere comic without having ever encountered the character. It was a great post too, not that I remember what it said, and now I guess it's deleted. Pity. >_>

Re: Forum Reset

Yea, sorry, It was only after I deleted everything that I found an option that would have saved more trouble... but, eh, oh well...

Re: Forum Reset

Oh, yes, I think I remember, Amake.  You thought up a dimension shifter named Jenny on your own, right?

It's nice to see that you're checking in on the forum, though.

Re: Forum Reset

Yeah, well, "dimension shifter" is a bit of a stretch. But there is parallel dimensions involved. Maybe I should just link to it, if you're interested. Not that I've gotten to the dimensions part yet. ^_^

Re: Forum Reset

I'd read it.  No hurry on the link, though.  I'd be offering a link to my Jenny Everywhere stories, but I'm having technical trouble getting them up on the web.  ("Bah!  Out, you demons of stupidity!  Out, out!")  And I don't have a scanner at hand, meaning there's no point in my drawing anything for the art contest.  So there's not exactly an avalanche of Jenny Everywhere content appearing at the moment from others; you can take all the time you like.

Re: Forum Reset

Well, I like to think of my comics as time capsules. It's not the present moment where I put them on the Internets that matter, but some point in the future when they're read. With that temporally undetermined attitude in mind, I give you this link now. smile

Re: Forum Reset

Wow, that's...very wide.  I know, that's not the first impression an artist wants, but there you have it.  I scrolled a lot.

I see what you mean; your Jenny is not Jenny Everywhere, but the similarities are interesting.

Re: Forum Reset

I guess it's a bit elitist to cater only to people with 1280 or wider resolution, but I like big pictures. Though I think the standard these days is even wider. >_>

Thanks for reading anyway, and I'm glad those similarities aren't just in my head.

Re: Forum Reset

No, the current standard in web viewing is 1024x, and will be for another couple years before a "good majority" (80%) all are at 1280x.

Re: Forum Reset

My screen is at 1024x (it's an old monitor, admittedly), and I don't maximize my browser window, so my actual webpage display width is probably around 900 pixels.  I haven't done any surveys, but I'd guess this is reasonably typical.
